The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He tests and evaluates cleaning appliances, focusing on robot vacuums and mopping combos. Multitaskers are a great option for those looking to get rid of mopping off their to-do lists. Some have great navigation and obstacles avoidance. Some wash and refill mopping pads themselves for a hands-free cleaning.
The Eufy S1 Pro
This is the model you need to pick if you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than the other models on this list, which makes it easier to maneuver in tight corners and under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides one of my top navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery that can last up to 170 minutes if cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery mid-clean.
It's extremely quick and does a great job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways with only one motion. Its suction motor of 8,000pa makes short work of picking up sand, dirt, and pet hair. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it comes into contact with rugs, and the dual side brushes help pull out dirt from corners.

The mopping performance is less impressive, though not by a lot. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high speed and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scrubbing up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a little more than other robots. This is helpful when getting into narrow corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to sweep up larger debris, like broken toys and fallen books.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't make more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It is easy to set up and works well. However should you purchase this robot vacuum for mopping it is important to pay attention to this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a range of features.
The device is equipped with an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the home and identify furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean efficiently and efficiently. This will result in a thorough, consistent clean that is also quite fast.
In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads are capable of reaching an array of surface areas. This includes corners, baseboards, and other difficult-to-access spots. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor near to the walls or other fixtures. In addition the mop pads are able to be washed and dried to prevent build-up and reduce odors.
App-based customization is another notable feature. The Q Revo lets you adjust the intensity of its suction and select between a back-andforth, or a more randomized pattern. You can also choose the number of passes, which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home. You can also choose to turn off the side brush to prevent damaging carpets and rugs.
This device is expensive however it has many useful features. It's crucial to keep in mind that it has regular expenses in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For instance the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter must be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad must be replaced every three to six months.
The robot vacuum mop has an excellent Amazon rating and comes with many physical automation features. The robot vacuum also comes with a power button which doubles as the 'Clean button' as well as a 'Home' button to send it back home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock which automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank and washes and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a professional with a lot of work or someone who just wants to have a clean home without spending much time doing chores The Shark Matrix Plus is a solid choice. It has powerful performance, smart navigation, and a long battery life that allows you to keep your home clean with little effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a two-in-one vacuum and mop. It can do both mopping and vacuuming. The robot comes with two modules: a combined dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping system with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of the way. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming but it does mean you don't need to worry about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.
The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature was its precise floorplan map, which it uses to determine the path to follow when cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture, and other obstacles. budget robot vacuum offers the option of setting "No-Go zones" and virtual barriers, which help to protect specific areas of your home from being swept with mop.
The Matrix Plus also did a amazing job of picking up hair from pets. It was able capture a lot of the hair our cats shed, and even made it into the corners and crevices of our stairs, where other robots have struggled. The noise levels were low, and there were some lovely jingles that inform you that it was starting and working towards its goal.
The biggest flaws were its simplistic app and the requirement to change between the modules to switch between vacuuming and mopping. The app cannot store multiple maps. This could be an issue if your home has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who are looking for a smart device that can mop and vacuum.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. However, it has certain unique features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni is notable for its huge dock that doubles as an charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses a 2.5-liter dustbin and an 2.5 milliliter dust bin.
The base has a couple of buttons for control, which allow you to manually start a cleaning task or recall the robot, or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a great feature for parents who are concerned about their children playing with the vacuum.
The Omni Omni, like other robotic vacuums, utilizes its camera to detect obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will stay clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally get caught up in an obstruction, such as a power cord draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and ceases to function until you free it. This was a rare occurrence, but frustrating nonetheless, since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert on its app.
The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad, except that mopping pads don't get washed or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a significant change from the utilitarian all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing appearance in a market which is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
